The US Supreme Court

The US Supreme Court is the highest court in the land. This is the website of the court. You can access the cases they are currently hearing, meet the justices who are currently on the court, read about the rules of the court should you want to visit the court etc. There is a lot of info on this site. Feel free to do a little exploring and post something interesting you found and explain a bit about it.

  1. After exploring through the site given above, I clicked the link "2011 Year-End Report". Scrolling through, I noticed a section titled "The Code of Conduct for United States Judge". I found this interesting because I didn't even know the Supreme Court Justices and even federal judges had a code of conduct. It first explains how there's a code of conduct for Committees, federal judges, and Court Justices. It very vaguely explains how the code is, "...designed to provide guidance to judges..." The passage doesn't explain what the Code is for, but it explains why it was made. The Code of Conduct, serves more as a starting point when judges/Justices make decisions in court. Because I wasn't exactly sure what the Code was I googled it and found a list of what the Code of Conduct was.
